G321- Institutional Logo Research

Institutional logos appear the start of any film.  This allows producers to brand what they produce.

They need to be interesting, so that the audiences remember them.

Independent films tend to have more logos at the beginning compared to mainstream films. This is because they have a lot more help for funding their films, so the companies need to be credited.

Independent film company logos are usually alot less complex than those of mainstream companies (simply because of lack of funding).

They began as just pictures (black and white at first) but, over the years, have developed a lot. They now include sound and even animation. This usually shows how successful the company is, as they have enough money to use different technologies.

On the other hand, independent logos wouldn't necessarily develop over time because that would involve money and equipment.
